What is covered under Dreamsaver's Wedding Cancellation Insurance?

There are several insured events (known as Perils) which would be covered under the Cancellation Section of a Dreamsaver Wedding Insurance policy. Below is an outline of what is covered in this section:

• If your booked venue or caterers are unable to hold your wedding due to damage to your venue,
• A murder or suicide occurs at your venue,
• If your venue or caterers are closed by relevant authorities,
• Either of your venue or caterers suffer bankruptcy or liquidation,
• The death, injury, or sickness of the Marrying Couple, or a Relative which would make the continuation of the wedding inappropriate,
• You are summoned for Jury Service for a second time and you can provide evidence that you cannot defer (please refer to the policy wording for the definition of You),
• The unforeseen, non-appearance of any wedding services on the day that you booked and paid for,
• Accidental complete loss or severe damage to bridal or ceremonial attire (of the Marrying Couple only) which makes the items unwearable, and you are unable to purchase or hire alternatives,
• Redundancy, so long as notice is received at least 8 weeks after the issue of the certificate and qualifying for payment under the current redundancy legislation, of the Marrying Couple or any of their relatives who would have made proven, significant, financial contribution which the Wedding plans depend on,
• You are a serving member of the UK armed forces and your previously agreed leave orders are cancelled without warning, or you are unable to avoid necessary duty for the ambulance service, coastguard, fire brigade, or police personnel,
• The officiating minister or registrar does not show up,
• The marrying couple and majority of their wedding guests are unable to reach the wedding or wedding reception due to adverse weather. If you are travelling by air or sea, the booked arrival date must be at least 5 days before the wedding.
