Dreamsaver Wedding Insurance can provide financial protection for weddings whether they are held in the UK or overseas, with no additional cost if the wedding is held abroad.
If the wedding is taking place abroad there is additional cover for replacing essential documents, should they be lost or damaged.
Some sections of cover are not available for overseas weddings: ceremonial swords cover, marquee cover and public liability cover for guests cannot be applied to overseas weddings. Public liability cover is available for the Bride and Groom, unless they are getting married in the USA or Canada.
Dreamsaver wedding insurance recommends you travel to the country where you are getting married at least 5 days before the ceremony is due to take place in order that your wedding is not jeopardised by any unforeseen short-term travel delays. The wedding transport section of the policy only covers booked transport to and from the wedding ceremony; it does not include travelling to the country where the wedding is taking place.
To cover travel abroad you will need a separate travel insurance policy, which is available here or directly from www.voyagertravelinsurance.co.uk.
If you are holding a reception or other celebration back in the UK after your wedding, that can also be covered under the standard Dreamsaver policy, providing that it is within 21 days (3 weeks) of the wedding ceremony.
Dreamsaver wedding insurance offers a choice of cover levels and options starting with a one-off payment of £24 for the Silver level of cover with £6,000 of wedding cancellation cover from www.weddinginsurance.co.uk
Please Note: Policies must be purchased a MINIMUM of 14 days before the ceremony date.
