Ceremonial Swords can play a big part in couples’ weddings or civil partnerships, typically those within the armed forces but also in some religious ceremonies. Military Weddings have numerous traditions, including involving Ceremonial Swords either in a guard of honour for the Marrying Couple or even in the cutting of the cake.
These swords are often loaned and can be incredibly expensive, so it is wise to insure them, in case of loss or damage, alongside the rest of your big day. Because of this, here at Dreamsaver Wedding Insurance, we offer an Optional policy add on which provides cover for Ceremonial Swords at your wedding.
In order to add this optional extra to your policy, you will need to pay an additional premium. Once you have paid the additional premium, you will benefit from up to £20,000 worth of cover should you lose or damage any borrowed or hired Ceremonial Swords (and accompanying regalia) within the 7 days leading up to the wedding or for the 48 hours after the wedding.

Please note: Cover is only available for Weddings using Ceremonial swords in the UK. There is no cover available for Ceremonial swords being used outside of the United Kingdom.
Ceremonial Sword cover is there to protect ceremonial swords that will be being used on your wedding day. The presence of swords on the day is seen as a wedding tradition for many who may use them in an arch of sabres for example. As such, we feel it is important for us to provide you with protection should they be lost or stolen.
Dreamsaver’s Optional Ceremonial Swords cover is there to provide you with peace of mind leading up to and on your special day should the unexpected happen. After all, ceremonial swords can be quite expensive to replace should the worst happen.
